Large Perth Medical Centre & Corporate Health Practice
Complete establishment and technical IT set up for launch of fully functioning Medical Centre with complex Medical Imaging integration

A large privately owned Perth Medical Centre and Corporate Health clinic located in WA needed a new centre to provide high quality medical services in general practice and corporate health care for both individuals and companies. It is owned and operated by the doctors who are working with the medical centre.
The doctors at the Medical Centre have at least 20 years of experience in providing quality medical service. The services include women’s health services, men’s health services, contraception, pregnancy advice, travel medicine, vaccinations, general medical care and sexual health screening.
Based on Clevvi’s reputation and a referral, (rather than source a local IT company) Clevvi Technology, a Queensland based company was approached by this collective of senior West Australian doctors to design and build the core technical capability from the outset - for an advanced corporate medical facility concept located in metro Perth.
The experienced lead doctor has a remote Emergency Mine sites qualification and travels frequently to remote sites as the expert in this type of medicine.
The doctors’ strategic plan was to provide the most advanced medical services centre available with superior value health services delivered to large corporates, multi-million-dollar mining operations, global trade and shipping companies, with guaranteed on time service to meet corporate timelines.
This included specialist knowledge of detailed health assessments for prospective mine employees (for example high value Mines medical - $500 each – turned around as fast as possible and knowledge of specialised assessments like the Norwegian Seamans Medical).
- Clevvi Technology's success in setting up this Medical Centre and Corporate Health provider's comprehensive IT infrastructure was a result of meticulous planning and expertise. As a provider specialising in healthcare IT solutions, Clevvi seamlessly integrated various systems, software, and Electronic Patient Records (EPR) to meet the diverse needs of the medical centre.
- Integration of Systems: Clevvi ensured smooth integration of imaging systems such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for X-rays and MRIs, providing a centralized platform for managing and accessing medical images. This integration allowed doctors to view, analyze, and store images securely, improving diagnostic efficiency.
- Medical Equipment Integration: Clevvi facilitated interfaces for medical devices including ultrasounds and ECG machines. These interfaces enabled real-time data transfer from devices to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, reducing manual entry errors and enhancing patient care.
- EMR Software Implementation: Clevvi deployed a state-of-the-art EMR system tailored to the clients specific requirements. This system streamlined patient record management, allowing doctors to access patient histories, treatment plans, and test results instantly. The EMR also facilitated easy documentation of consultations and treatment updates.
- Software Hosting: Clevvi managed the hosting of all software systems, ensuring reliable and secure access to critical applications. Through cloud-based hosting, the medical centre benefited from scalability, data redundancy, and improved disaster recovery measures.
- Training and Support: Clevvi provided comprehensive training to the centre's staff on using the new systems efficiently. This ensured a smooth transition and optimized utilization of the IT infrastructure. Ongoing support and maintenance services guaranteed system uptime and addressed any issues promptly.
- Compliance and Security: Clevvi ensured that all systems complied with healthcare regulations and data security standards. This included HIPAA compliance for patient data protection and regular security updates to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Through Clevvi Technology's expertise, the Medical Centre and Corporate Health provider achieved a fully integrated IT ecosystem.
- This allowed the centre's doctors and staff to focus on delivering exceptional medical services, including women's health, men's health, contraception, pregnancy advice, travel medicine, vaccinations, general medical care, and sexual health screening. The successful setup of the IT integrations, software systems hosting, and Electronic Patient Records by Clevvi Technology underscores Clevvi's commitment to efficient and secure healthcare

Creating the IT infrastructure for this Medical Centre and Corporate Health facility presented a substantial challenge due to its diverse range of services and integration needs.
This privately owned medical centre in Perth, WA, combines general practice with corporate health care, requiring robust systems.
The doctors, each with over 20 years of experience, necessitate a sophisticated setup for imaging systems, medical equipment integrations, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software.
This includes PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for managing medical images like X-rays and MRIs, EMR systems for seamless patient record management, and interfaces for devices such as ultrasounds and ECG machines.
The IT team had to ensure these systems worked cohesively to support women's health services, men's health services, contraception, pregnancy advice, travel medicine, vaccinations, general medical care, and sexual health screening.
Implementing a user-friendly interface for staff and patients while maintaining strict data security adds another layer of complexity. Despite these challenges,
This Medical Centre's dedication to a professional work environment and top-tier medical care drove the meticulous planning and execution of its IT systems.

- Clevvi Technology was able to take the operation from regular paper-based operations to near fully
automated diagnostics, slashing the appointment, administration and diagnostic time taken to at least double the throughput with more accurate assessment and management of patients. - This work required close collaboration with these professional corporate doctors with tight documented
feedback loops to ensure the best possible use of the ICT available to deliver on time medical diagnostics,
reporting, patient management and medical care at the highest level possible.
The critical importance for the base software choice formed the foundation for the whole operation. Three
systems were assessed thoroughly through Beta Testing over a 6-month period. The system Best Practice
became the ideal stack and was to become the foundation for the next 3 years’ work.
Achieving the requirements of the state-of-the-art system and delivering the most efficient multi-pronged
integration of all medical inputs took a practical strategic view to look at every stage of medical assessment
and diagnostics – and plan to cut the time taken to get to the result.
Clevvi Technology also developed individual integration from six different providers for X-rays, CT scans,
MRI scans, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine imaging, bone density scans, and
interventional radiology procedures:
SKG Radiology
Western Diagnostic
Curtin Medical Imaging
South Coast Radiology
WA Medical Imaging
Hollywood Private Hospital Radiology
Concurrently Clevvi Technology also provided Pathology integration for clinical chemistry, haematology,
microbiology, cytology, histology, and molecular pathology:
PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA- Clinipath Pathology
Western Diagnostic Pathology
St John of God Pathology
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP)
This imaging and pathology data was integrated into an enhanced Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system
with complete Clinic IT integration from the ground up. EPR imaging and pathology data needed to be collected, converted, and then stored in the EPR system from all the different technical coded languages and all software accessed needed specialised integration.
At the doctor’s desk, innovations were developed and implemented to enable the patient consultation much faster than in regular medical clinics;
1. The electronic integration of MiMs – prescribing assistance, alerting to drug contraindications
(MiMS provides prescribing doctors comprehensive and up-to-date information on prescription and non-prescription drugs available in Australia, including detailed drug monographs, product images, indications, dosages, precautions, interactions,
adverse effects, and more. Healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, often use MiMS as a reference tool when prescribing medications or providing information to patients about medications.)
2. Voice to text (notes) Dragon (Medical Language Software Version) at the doctor’s desk and on
site for emergencies.
3. Draw on Screen function in patient notes for busy doctors to recall physical indications and
presentations (i.e. skin cancer, lesions, burns etc)
Easy Prescription software – keeping track of medications, provides instant patient Prescription
from check box assessment – instant script for patient/no typing.
5. InteleVue™- was integrated (InteleVue is a web-enabled DICOM viewer that allows doctors to customise their reading and reporting workflow, manage critical results, and enhance collaboration. It offers high performance, AI-based
tools, and flexible interface for any environment).
6. Alerts – creation of notifications and alerts direct to doctor devices for all relevant just in time
information sharing
The outcome of this engagement was the development of an advanced medical treatment facility with much faster consultation throughput, more intelligent handing of patient cases, and employing better forms of technology to support the entire practice.
Clevvi also trialled a Bluetooth walk-in-walk-out payment system, integrated with Medicare where a patients phone would be detected and associated with appointment then intelligent charging would mean no contact needed with reception. This was a factor useful during a pandemic to minimise exposure to illness, and providing convenience for the clients.
A subsequent trial was use of a remote VR headset on first responders for doctors to direct expert medical care from Perth while the paramedic was onsite in a remote mine, car accident or other trauma scene – needing assistance beyond the first responder’s knowledge.
